Combustion Analysis

Combustion analysis is generally not mandatory, but is very often employed on field tests on fuel fired furnaces and water heaters. With a combustion analysis:

  • Diagnosis can be performed to ensure that the combustion process is safe and efficient
  • Combustion efficiency can be documented.

Combustion Analyzer

A portable combustion analyzer kit is usually used on short term tests to diagnosis combustion appliance efficiency. A combustion analyzer can also be used to determine if adjustments are required to reduce CO level below 100 PPM and maximize combustion efficiency. The analyzer samples flue gases, measures O2, CO, NO and SO2 levels, flue temperature and draft pressures and can perform automatic calculations on CO2, efficiency and excess air.
